The Portrait of the Devil of St. James

Dear Readers,

You’re in for a treat with my next novel!

In the upcoming instalment of my Summer Nights in St. James series, you’ll meet the Marquess of Arden, known as the “Devil of St. James.” The book is titled The Portrait of the Devil of St. James, and it was an absolute joy to write. At times, it felt as though the Devil of St. James himself was dictating the story to me 😉!

But fear not! The man behind the infamous nickname is no fearsome demon but a flesh-and-blood gentleman. Here’s the proof:

What is “The Portrait of the Devil of St. James” about?

Nash Burnwood, the Marquess of Arden, has returned from the war.

He brought with him a deep scar that – along with his near arrogant self-confidence and fiery temperament – has earned him the nickname “the Devil of St. James.”

Now, at the request of the Prince Regent, he is to be compensated for his service in France with a beautiful young bride.

However, Nash has no intention of marrying and has devised a clever plan: he will send the unwanted bride a realistic portrait of himself to scare her away…

I know I’ve said this before, but I can’t stress it enough: please let me know what you think of the book. Reviews and feedback are among the most important things in an author’s life. I write for you, my readers, and I truly value your opinion!

I hope you enjoy the Devil of St. James as much as I enjoyed writing it. If all goes well, it should be a great pleasure for you!

With love,
Emmi / Jenny
